By June 1944, the course of World War Two was changing. It was deemed that one large attack would be required by the allied forces to fully swing things in their favour.

No one knew the precise date for such an important operation with leaders waiting for the exact right moment.

Some six weeks prior to what would become known as D-Day, King George VI called the nation to pray.
