Austin grew up in a Christian home but had a period of doubt in his youth. After wrestling with some of the fundamentals of faith he went on to become a theology graduate from Moody Bible Institute.
He created the YouTube channel "Gospel Simplicity," which has now garnered over 40,000 subscribers and three million views.
His channel features interviews with Christian authors and explores various theological topics.
