When the word of the Lord came to Elijah with a promise to pray for rain, Elijah took action. He took God at His word. Therefore, believer, we have promises given by God and we must take action to pray them and see great answers to prayer.
When the prophet Elijah prayed, he was guided by scripture, the word of God. In learning how to pray, scripture is our guidance. Pray the word of God.
The prophet Elijah as he prayed did so depending on the promises of Giod, the word of the Lord. We also pray depending on the promises of God.
The Lord’s promise to His people is that He will never forsake or fail us.
God’s people are encouraged that the Lord’s presence will never leave noir forsake them. What an encouragement throughout the year the Lord’s presence goes with us day by day.
The Lord purpose for His people is that they go forward and enter into blessing knowing that He goes with and before us to bless.
As Moses the man of God prepares the children of Israel to enter the promised land, and to go forward he encourages them the Lord goes before His people. In this new year as we take our journey onward the Lord goes before His people.
When a person dies, death is not the end. A person will either enter into heaven to praise Christ, or be cast into hell to be judged by Christ for their sin in rejecting Him as Saviour.
There are mang things in life that we try to escape from, however there is one truth than none can escape from and that is it is appointed unto men once to die. Death is definite and real, however, Christ by His death had provided eternal salvation for al who trust in Him, that when death comes, the Christian enters heaven, whereas the rejector is cast into eternal punishment.
There are many appointments that are made for us while most are kept some are cancelled, forgotten or postponed. However, there is one appointment for ever person that will never be cancelled, forgotten, late or postponed rather it is settled, it is appointed unto men once to die. The day of our death is divinely appointed. We must be prepared for death by having Christ as our only Saviour.
Anna’s having seen the promised Saviour, departed from the house of God rejoicing and she told others about Christ and the redemption found only in Him.
As Anna worshipped to the Lord was persistent because night and day she came into the temple the house of God to fast and pray waiting for the promised Saviour to come.
The Ministry of Emmanuel is to save and comfort His people by coming into this world to honour God by living, dying and rising again for sinners He came to save.
As Elijah’s prays He uses the name LORD GOD, a name that God choose to reveal Himself as the God who keeps His promises. Every believer has this assurance and confidence that God keeps His promises.
The sacrifice offered on the altar of the Lord was offered at the time of the evening sacrifice, which was given by God to Moses in the building of the tabernacle. However, the time of the evening sacrifice was also the time Christ was sacrificed on the cross. Elijah’s sacrifice was offered by faith as the same time Christ offered Himself.
