It’s not every day that someone chooses to go on a 13 mile run to raise money for charity for their 70th birthday, but that’s what Jonathan Leeson will be doing. Jonathan, who lives in Ringmer, near Lewes will be taking part in the Brighton Half Marathon on 25 February, to raise money for Ascension Trust – the umbrella organisation for well-known national initiative Street Pastors. He aims to raise £50,000.
Released on 7 Feb 2024
Josh is joined by Keith Hammond from Christians in Football for the Quarter Final Draws for The National Christian Cup and The National Christian Trophy.
Football can make us cheer with joy, cry with disappointment or perhaps reach for the off switch but could it unite us in prayer? Euro 2024 kicks off in Germany in just a couple of weeks and The European Mission Fellowship are encouraging us to 'Pray As They Play' with their Football Wallchart. Premier's Josh Carter caught up with the brains behind the idea Sarah Bassett and Martin Tatham. You can visit www.europeanmission.org/pray-as-they-play to get your wallchart.
Josh spoke with Pastor Jonathan, the founder of the National Day of Prayer and Worship, to learn about the Shine Your Light initiative, which motivates us to bring our Christmas carol services from our churches to the public square.
