Why You Need To Watch BBC's New Documentary 'We Are Black & British'

Raphael was part of the cast and spoke to Belinda about how he got on to the show: "About a year before the filming me and Dan made YouTube videos on topical issues that were important to us, stuff about innovations of medicine which were really enthusiastic about and aviation as well, also with that we talked about getting stopped and searched as a young black male and the differences between the UK and there USA. We thought our perspective would be interesting being middle class and black. It got about 60,000 views, I think they saw that and thought wed be perfect."

Speaking on the process and the show itself, he said: "I was excited because it was unknown to be and it was up in the air what would be the turnout, this has never been done before If were going to be honest we need to speak in an environment that feels natural and organic with as little bias as possible

His brother, Daniel, touched on what he liked about the show in terms of them being not only brothers, but twins: "It was great because I thought how theyre seeing us as individuals, sometimes its hard when we come as a package, as twins, it allowed us to tease out the differences in our opinions. It was great to see Raph in his element too."
