What do Tauren Wells, Phil Thompson, DOE & Beyonce have in common?

DOE has been singing her heart and soul for Jesus long before Jonathan McReynolds tapped her for Cycles.

DOE isnt the only artist to have done a Beyonce on their group. Years before My Worship became the worship anthem in our local churches, Phil Thompson was part of the group Ashmont Hill. Celebrated CCM star Tauren Wells solo career was the beginning of the end for 2x Grammy nominated christian band Royal Tailor.

Few artists have overnight success and chances are, your favourite breakthrough artist has spent years dutifully honing their craft and diligently serving.

Forever Jones comprised of DOEs parents, her four siblings and herself. DOEs parents were dealt a devastating blow as newlyweds when a doctors report said they were unlikely to have children. Miraculously the couple went on to have 5 kids and as a family they have faithfully served in ministry together. Arguably their biggest hit was He wants it all.

If youre familiar with the Boston MA area, the name Ashmont Hill may ring a bell as its a popular neighbourhood. Its also the name of Christian group formed by Phil Thompson, son of Jubilee Christian Church pastor Bishop Thompson. Group members include his two sisters and brother in law. The group had a hit with the song Masterpiece which painted a picture of Christs sacrificial love for us on the cross.
