Never one to shy away from weaving real life subject matters into his music, Kirk Franklin's statement performance at the 2017 Stellar Awards struck a chord with viewers. The poignant "My World Needs You" taken from Franklin's "Losing my Religion" album speaks about the social injustices in the world, asking God to rescue us from the storms that seek to tear our hearts in two. Using stage props, strong visuals and stage actors for the performance added a deeper dimension to the emotionally charged song.

Destiny's Child
Remember that time when Beyonc "caught" the "Holy Ghost" at the Stellar's? Beyonc and Kelly Rowland's surprise appearance at the 2015 Stellars alongside their Destiny's Child bandmate, Michelle Williams quickly turned into the "Beyonc show." The trio's performance began with "Always Remember" sung by Williams, and flowed seamlessly into the chorus of "Alpha and Omega," showcasing the groups warm harmonies. "If you love the Lord we want you to put your hands together," said Beyonce leading on to Williams smash hit "Say Yes." In true Destiny's Child fashion, each lady sang lead however Beyoncs strong stage presence and "Holy Ghost" inspired dance moves clearly stole the show.
