Global disc jockey DJ Cuppy has revealed in an Instagram post that she’s been baptised.

The Nigerian born London based DJ, known for her hit singles Jollof on the Jet and Greenlight, has shared about her faith previously online. In a series of Tweets in 2022 she spoke about how God’s grace helps her through and his confidence keeps her shining, stating: “In an industry that can be so dark, I love the fact that being a Christian allows me to shine bright effortlessly. It’s called GODFIDENCE. Every door of racial prejudice I can kick down as an International black female DJ, is one less door that these girls have to kick down by God’s Grace!”

In August of this year, DJ Cuppy was drafted to DJ the annual Focus event, describing themselves as an ‘annual holiday for our network of churches, where we come together to encounter God afresh, have fun, build friendships and grow in faith’ and shared with followers how she enjoyed the challenge of curating a Christian only playlist.

Now, in posts across her social media platforms, she’s revealed to her millions of followers that she’s taken her faith one step further and has gotten baptised, saying: “This summer, I made THE best decision of my life— to fully dedicate my life to God. Baptism isn’t just a ceremony; it’s a transformation. I am a new creation, reborn in His grace”.
