The unfairness of the Grammys: Gospel Artists React

Last weekend we witnessed history being made at one of the most prestigious ceremonies in the secular music industry The Grammys, with Maverick City Music winning four awards in one night, tying with Beyonc for most wins. It was joyous moments for some and not so happy for others, here some nominees after Grammys reactions.   Erica Campbell Erica was nominated for the Gospel Best Song Category with her track Positive. After the event Erica Campbell took to social media to vent her emotions for not winning a Grammy this time around. In an Instagram Live she said: I wanna be honest, I happy for Maverick City. I am happy for everyone that won, I really am, but tonight I am sad I lost.

I cant just be happy when I win and mad when I lose.

She went on saying It dont feel good to lose but you have to learn how to win and lose. I cant just be happy when I win and mad when I lose. Her fellow gospel artists supported her in the comments, including Fred Hammond who said: understood, honest healthy emotions. Great example for so many. Anything Brown echoed Fred and said: I LOVE this truth. I know exactly what you mean, and Ive felt it for myself. You continue to shine such a bright light and you really are an amazing inspiration to us all. Huge congrats on everything youre doing!

Tye Tibbett Tye Tibbett was nominated for Gospel Best Song Category with Get UP. On his Instagram Live Talking #Grammys Tribbet said: I was not trying to win like that, doing what everybody else was doing. The Grammys hasnt nothing to do with what I do or why I do it. I want people to be blessed, I want people to be drawn closer to Christ.   Jenny Weaver dropped her thoughts saying: the real one right here!!! Period!! I honour you for who you are and all you do! You should of won though for real cause your music is so different and unique!! Ok but my rant is over lol
