Party girls join convent TV show

The ladies spent one month at the Daughters of Divine Charity Convent in Hunstanton, as part of a new television programme.

They include 19 year old Sarah Lawrence, a nightclub hostess from London and Rebecca Cheng, 19 year old night club enthusiast from Newcastle.

Fellow participant, 23-year-old Sister Michaela, told Premier: "When I saw the girls walking in very immodest clothes, I thought 'gosh'.

"But actually, through out the time that they stayed with us, I realised that I have absolutely no right to judge them.

"They are the same as me, human beings, God's children and he loves them; I think that my heart has become more compassionate through this experience."

Under convent rules, the women must switch their lights off at 10pm each night and follow the nuns in living off a 25 monthly allowance.

Tyla, a 22-year-old dancer from Leeds, said: "It was a pretty surreal feeling, opening the door and meeting all the nuns.

"I had never seen a nun in my life, walking down the street, so I didn't know what I was letting myself in for.

I didn't know what was going to happen, so I was excited but very nervous."

The first of four 'Bad Habits, Holy Orders' episodes airs on Channel 5 on Thursday night at 10pm.
