Memorial service held to mark Grenfell Tower fire anniversary

The Bishop of London and London's mayor joined people to remember the victims of the blaze that killed 72 people.

Following the Bishop of Kensington's preaching at St Clement's Church, near Shepherd's Bush, Bishop Sarah Mullally and Sadiq Khan planted shrubs outside the church in a garden for "healing and peace" that was dedicated to the people who died.

Speaking to Sky, Bishop Sarah explained what the purpose of the garden is.

"It is a place of blessing. It will be a place of healing and of prayer. But also a place in which people can find time and space as they begin to find healing and justice after the devastation of the last year."

Meanwhile, the government promised to permanently re-house survivors within a year, but dozens of families remain in temporary accommodation.

Housing minister Dominic Raab says the council's bought over 300 new properties - but apologised for the delay.
