Fresh off the heels of their multi-date arena tour and Christmas recording, the group are topping the Grammy CCM/Gospel categories with a total of four nods.

The collective, who evolved from obscurity during the pandemic, are nominated for their hits Jireh, Wait on you, as well as albums Jubilee Juneteenth Edition, and Old Church Basement.

Gospel legend Cece Winans follows closely with a total of three nominations for her Billboard chart topping project, Believe for It. With twelve Grammy wins, twenty-eight Grammy nominations, over twenty GMA Dove awards and multiple Stellar awards, Winans is gospels best-selling and most awarded female artist of all time.

Following the upset caused by Kanye Wests Favourite Gospel Artist American Music Award win, and his Songwriter of the Year honour at the 2021 BMI Trailblazers of Gospel Music Awards, its good to see the Grammy nominations being more representative of the gospel and christian music industry.

New kids on the block, Maverick City Music, round off an uber successful year with nominations from the music industrys most prestigious awarding body.
