Gassed to announce Ya boy made his first ever film! I got to work with some absolutely incredible humans. Cant wait to share this with you all. Brutal Honesty 8.11.21, he wrote on Instagram.

The movie unpacks some of the songs from Isaacs album Honesty and stars Josh Dylan (Mama Mia 2) and Kike Brimah (Noughts + Crosses). Film festival lovers get an early screening of the movie at the London and Oregon film festivals this weekend.

In an interview with Premier Gospel, Isaac said: my heart for my music and films is to tell stories of redemption be it love, faith or whatever. There is a lot of healing that needs to take place in the world, and I feel that if art can bring about some form of healing in a small way, were getting a step closer to people finding a bit of hope.

Although the singer-songwriter plans to produce and release more movies, music fans can be assured that he isnt retiring from music anytime soon. Having worked with the likes of Sting, Tori Kelly, Sir Elton John, and India Arie, the singer has his hopes set on a Jill Scott collaboration one sweet day.

Brutal Honesty is out on VEVO this Monday.
