Is heaven something to look forward to? Lamar Odom shares words of 'Kobe'

The afterlife is something people all over the world talk and think about on a regular basis some ask whether there really a heaven is whilst others wonder whether theres an afterlife at all. As Christians we believe in heaven and hell and one person who believes this too is former NBA player Lamar Odom. The athlete, who said he was saved in church, was doing an interview with Shannon Sharpe when he said the late and great baller Kobe Bryant came to him in a dream to talk about the afterlife: he said something to me Ill never forget: The afterlife ain't what people make it up to be I didnt know how to take that, it stuck with me. The Bible speaks on the afterlife many times both directly and in parables, one notable scripture being Revelation 21:4: He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.We often picture the afterlife being a beautiful space to dwell with our Father for eternity and many take comfort in the knowledge that the suffering in this world wont be there. Some online have said maybe it was a message to keep on living and not cut his own journey short, Odom himself believes this was a direct message from Kobe Bryant and maybe it meant that Kobe wanted to be back with his family. What exactly was meant by this dream and how do you interpret it? One things for sure, we know as Christians that there is a place for us and being with our father for eternity sounds like a heavenly state to be. Written by Premier Gospel // Cassandra Maria
