Thousands of people gathered to celebrate the Black entertainment and watched as awards were handed out to some of the worlds best artists, producers and actors. Taking the title of Dr. Bobby Jones Best Gospel/Inspirational Award was Lil Baby x Kirk Franklin We Win. 

Kirk didnt just win an award that night but he also won the crowd over to Jesus with his performance with Maverick City Music. They set the stage on fire with a collaborative performance of Kingdom and Melodies From Heaven. People online have been describing this as the best performance of the night and comparing them to the legendary group Gods Property.

This years BET awards took place over the weekend and saw the likes of Marvin Sapp, Denzel Washington and Fred Hammond nominated for awards.
