Gospel category nominees for The MOBOS 2025 revealed

The MOBO Awards, the UK’s prime celebration of Black music and culture, is set to return in 2025 with a show stopping night. For the first time in history, this iconic event is set to unfold in Newcastle at the Utilita Arena on Tuesday, February 18th.

Since it’s beginning, the MOBO Awards have honoured outstanding Christian talents like Mary Mary, who scooped the Best Gospel Act in 2000, and other notable winners such as Guvna B, Volney Morgan & New Ye, and CalledOut Music. This year’s nominees for Best Gospel Act unveil a lineup of the UK's most exceptional Christian artists:

Annatoria: A multi-award-winning artist with a global stage presence, Annatoria has captivated audiences in the UK, USA, and Africa with her music. With over 2 million followers on Instagram and TikTok, she blends music with fashion and dance. Notably, Annatoria made history as the youngest winner of The Voice: UK, showcasing her songwriting and vocal prowess.

Imrhan: Known formerly as Lotto Ash and crowned the Premier Gospel Best Newcomer Act in 2024, Imrhan has been a significant figure in the AfroSwing/AfroBashment scene. A transformative year in 2023 saw him embracing his faith fully and dedicating his life to Christ.

Reblah: Hailing from London, Reblah is a multi-award-winning Christian artist known for his contributions to Christian grime and rap. His music resonates with fans across the UK and internationally in Lagos and Istanbul.

Volney Morgan & New Ye: This British gospel group has proven to be a formidable force on par with American greats. Their journey includes being Spotify Takeover artists for Nigeria, featuring at BBC Proms, and receiving airplay on major radio stations like Premier Gospel Radio and BBC Radio.

Limoblaze: Signed to Reach Records and a recipient of numerous accolades including Premier Gospel Awards, Limoblaze has released five studio albums featuring collaborations with industry giants such as Lecrae and Travis Greene. He is a two-time winner at the African Gospel Music and Media Awards (AGMMA).

Still Shadey: The winner of a MOBO Award in 2023, Still Shadey is celebrated for his dynamic performances and impactful album "How To Kill A Caterpillar." He continues to be one of Christian rap’s leading voices.

With each nominee making incredible moves in the Christian music scene this category is a tough one, however we’re certain that whoever wins will be deserving of such a prestigious award.
