The annual show saw the Christian music industry come together to celebrate and honour Christian music artists. Every area of the industry was represented from gospel artists to Spanish Christian artists.

There were performances from several artists including CeCe Winans, Koryn Hawthorne and Lauren Daigle amongst others.

Jonathan McReynolds and Natalie Grant co-hosted the GMA Dove Awards - it was Jonathans first time hosting the event while Natalie previously hosted the award show in 2007.
