Grammy award-winning artist and premier gospel awards nominee DOE, known for her impactful singles "When I Pray" and "What I Am Waiting For" opens up about how her friendship with Gospel singer Jonathan Mc Reynolds helped save her career 
 
Years ago, Doe was ready to bid adieu to her singing career. She planned on devoting her life to nurturing high school students' dreams. It was during this phase of self-doubt, one night as she was confiding in Jonathan McReynolds about wanting to quit, he offered her a lifeline. “Why don’t you just wait till I start my label! I’ll sign you," he said. But defiant as ever, Doe refused to wait around for anyone. 
 
In the years that followed, she continued to march to the beat of her own drum. She released several singles and music videos that resonated with her heart’s rhythm. As discussions with labels began to surface, there was one stipulation Doe had - “Please don’t let anyone change my sound.” 
 
Jonathan promised on the spot to protect her sound at all costs. A promise he has kept till this very day. 
 
In a heartfelt social media post, Doe extends her gratitude towards Jonathan. She thanks him for believing in her when she was on the verge of giving up - for fighting for her behind the scenes. 
 
Together they have reaped much success - their first album has clinched 3 Grammy Nominations, 3 Dove wins, 3 Stellar wins and two No.1 singles across two genres! And this is just the beginning!
