Destiny Marko: an introduction to Latin Gospels newest star

Career highlights for Destiny include collaborating with Ingrid Rosario and singing on Tasha Cobb-Leonards recent album Royalty: Live at the Ryman.

Speaking to Premier Gospel, Destiny opened up about her music, faith and family life. She explained what led her to start releasing solo music amid the pandemic and how God called her to it.

The journey has been incredible. God has shown up more times than I can count, I guess what pushed that was that I was running from this calling for so long that I feel like eventually God is like Im gonna snatch you child, Destiny told Hannah Lovejoy for the Latin Selection Show.

Destiny explained that her now producer reached out to her on Instagram and said that hed like to work with her.

Destiny continued: This couldve happened at any other time, why not sooner? Why during a global pandemic? Why at a time where I cant get to a studio?

And I feel like God was just telling me because now youre ready, because now youve been through exactly what Ive needed you to go through to realise that its still all about me.

After meeting Ingrid Rosario at church, Destiny scored two collaborations with Ingrid, titled Elctrico and Avivamiento.

Describing what it was like to film the music video for Elctrico, Destiny added: Ingrid made that song so fun for me.

When asked whats next, Destiny said that shed like to keep putting out new music and leading worship, she explained: Leading worship is truly my heart and then I feel like Im able to be the creative part of me by being a solo artist.

She also mentioned that shed love to collaborate with Blanca.
