Be careful what you pray for, says 2x Olympic champion Christian Taylor

Elevation Worships Never Lost, is that song for two-time triple jump Olympic gold medallist; Christian Taylor. The track and field athlete suffered a recent blow; a torn Achilles, blocking his chances of competing in this years Olympic games. Add on the loss of revenue from endorsement deals and a dip in self-confidence, and you have the prime example of a person who could potentially be on the verge of depression, but that is not Taylors confession. He believes that God is going to do something beyond what he could ever think or imagine.

Never Lost talks about God not wasting battles. Even when the walls of Jericho came falling down, these actually became the bridges to allow the people in. I think about the walls that seem as though they are before me. I know that if I keep worshipping, keep circling, keep leaning on God; these walls will come down when I shout. He will not waste the position that I am in, said Taylor in an interview with Premier Gospel.

Having a Job heart is a message Taylor has preached and lived however when faced with his recent challenges, the human side of him questioned what God. "I said I want to be like Job; that when everything looks wrong when everything is taken away I can be angry and sad, but I know God is near.God still loves me and God will provide.....so I say be careful what you pray for and know that God hears your prayer," he went on to add.

Strength is often drawn from God's word and spiritual songs when life throws unexpected curveballs. Worship and the Word are powerful weapons to wield against the enemy in the day of adversity.
